Career Ambassadors

A Career Ambassador is a student leader who provides peer-to-peer career support under the guidance of the Career Education & Development (CED) team. Career Ambassadors are recruited and hired in the summer of each year and must attend three mandatory training courses in the fall and spring to learn the role. In this role, Career Ambassadors assist fellow students with various aspects of career development, such as crafting resumes and cover letters, maximizing Handshake, and exploring career goals through individual and group sessions.

Career Ambassadors play a crucial role in helping their peers navigate their career paths while gaining valuable experience themselves. This position immerses Career Ambassadors in the field of career development and fosters their growth in essential skills, including leadership, communication, and problem-solving. These competencies align with the NACE standards, ensuring that Career Ambassadors develop skills that are highly valued by employers.
