Sofia Abreu joined ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ in March 2023 as the Director of Career Education & Development. A proud first-generation student, EOF, and ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ alumna, Sofia brings over ten years of experience in higher education,  with the last eight in Career Services. She has held roles at Temple University,  Villanova University, and Rowan College at Burlington County.

Sofia has also taught numerous courses focused on professional development, internships, and career exploration. She earned a B.S. in Speech Therapy and  Audiology from ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ University, and a M.Ed in Educational Leadership from  Temple University.

Sofia loves working with college students and helping them connect to the opportunities and networks that will help them feel confident and achieve their  career and professional development goals. Sofia enjoys working with the campus  community to seek innovative ideas to support students’ career and professional development goals. She’s dedicated to ensuring equity is at the forefront of career education and opportunities for college students.

Outside of her work at ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ, Sofia can be found spending time with her husband and daughter, playing with the family dog (Rex), listening to a podcast, or exploring  New Jersey trails.

Rosaria Pipitone currently serves as the Associate Director within ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ’s Career Education & Development team, with a primary focus on Employer Relations.

Her career began as a graduate intern at the University of South Florida’s career center in 2009, culminating in her attainment of an M.A. in Counselor Education with a career concentration from the same institution. Originally hailing from New York City, Rosaria relocated to Tampa to enroll in USF’s program, which held accreditation from the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs, unique for its career concentration.

Rosaria’s commitment to career development led her to earn the Career Development Facilitator Instructor (CDFI) certification in 2015, and she certified over 100 student support service staff as Career Development Facilitators (CDF). She takes pride in advocating for equitable employment opportunities for students of all majors.

In addition to her professional roles, Rosaria serves as a private career consultant. She has provided training for staff and faculty at Tuskegee University and Rowan College of Burlington County and served as the in-house trainer at her previous position as Associate Director at Rowan University, where she launched the Career Advocate Network. Rosaria has also held the role of Past President of the New Jersey Career Development Association (NJCDA) and remains an active National Career Development Association (NCDA) & Eastern Association of Colleges & Employers (EACE)

Netesha joined ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ in April 2018 as the University Academic Internship Coordinator, where she assisted students in securing an academic internship related to their career goals. In September 2019, she was promoted to her current position, Assistant Director of Career Education and Development office, where she is the office liaison for the School of Health Sciences as well as the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Netesha is also an adjunct instructor in the Communication Studies program and an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Her extensive professional background is diverse in various areas including Human Resources, Career Education, Advertising/Sales, Training & Development and Management. She has previously worked as a HR Recruiter, Career Counselor, Account Executive, and Senior HR Project Manager. Netesha is a dedicated and results-driven professional with a passion for helping others achieve their goals.

Netesha earned a B.A. degree in Communications from The College of New Jersey and a Master of Administrative Science (MAS) degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University; with a specialization in Human Resources Administration and Global Leadership Administration. Currently, she is a doctoral student in ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ’s Ed. D in Organizational Leadership program.

Since 2007, Dayna has been career advising ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ students and alumni as an Assistant Director of Career Education and Development. She currently is the office liaison for the School of Arts & Humanities and School of Business. Outside of her career advising role, Dayna serves as the Co-Advisor to The Marketing Club and ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ’s Disney Association. She also acts as a preceptor and is a member of ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ’s Academic Advising Council.

Dayna considers herself a natural helper with a desire to motivate students to reach degree completion, achieve their post-graduation goals and to support employers with reaching recruitment goals through implementing a strategic approach! She is highly passionate about collaborating with faculty to embed career development and education into existing courses and program requirements where they naturally align and to further support driving the institution's mission.

Her education and certifications include a Master’s Degree in Guidance, Counseling and Human Services, Global Career Development Facilitator, Myers Briggs Type Indicator Certification, and Strong Interest Inventory Certification. Additionally, she holds a Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing in Business Education in New Jersey.

Patrick brings 15 years of experience in career counseling and advising to Career Education and Development. Prior to joining the team Patrick served students and alumni at the University of Baltimore and Villanova University. He has worked with job seekers of all ages and backgrounds including adult learners, high schoolers, and the formerly incarcerated.

His education and certifications include a Master’s Degree in Counseling, Certified Career Counselor, Certified Career Service Professional, Global Career Development Facilitator, Certified Job and Career Development and Transition Coach, Myers Briggs Type Indicator Certification, and Strong Interest Inventory Certification.

Patrick was recognized by both the National Career Development Association and the Center for Credentialing and Education as an instructor of Career Development Facilitator curriculum. Additionally, he holds certification as a school counselor in New Jersey and Pennsylvania as well as an associate license in counseling in New Jersey.
