This program provides employers the opportunity to share expert knowledge about careers in their industries; prepare students for the networking and job search process through one-on-one and group interactions; offer career advice to students seeking career direction; and build relationships with constituents in the campus community.

Career Education and Development at 淫性视频 provides assistance to employers seeking to recruit for full time, part time, internship and/or seasonal employment opportunities. 淫性视频 expects that employers act in accordance with the Principles of Professional Conduct for Employment Professionals outlined by National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), and comply with policies outlined in 淫性视频鈥檚 Student Handbook. In addition it is recommended that employers posting internships refer to NACE鈥檚 Internship Criteria. These principles and standards guide all of our college recruitment activities.
Specifically, Career Education and Development maintains the following guidelines:
The following organizations will be permitted to post jobs on our online job database system, Handshake (formerly 淫性视频Works), stockton.edu/handshake/employer. However, they will not be permitted to participate in Career and Internship Fair events or on-campus interviewing programs.
- Third-party Recruiters: These include executive search firms and employment agencies.
- Commission-only Employers: These include organizations that do not pay a base salary to their employees.
- Multilevel Employers (also known as 鈥淧yramid Employers鈥): These include organizations that depend on employees recruiting others to sell products and services on a commission basis.
- Upfront Product Purchase Employers: These include organizations that require employees to invest their own resources in the purchase of supplies, products or services to carry out their business.
- Solar Companies: These include organizations that employ 鈥済rassroots鈥 or 鈥済uerilla鈥 marketing strategies to sell energy solutions to residential and commercial properties.
In addition, ALL employers recruiting at 淫性视频 must abide by the following:
- Provide appropriate permanent contact
- Clearly indicate the organization name, supply accurate information on their organization, employment opportunities, and compensation
- Not solicit or sell their products during the course of

淫性视频 uses the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) definition and criteria for identifying an internship:
An internship is a form of experiential learning that integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a professional setting. Internships give students the opportunity to gain valuable applied experience and make connections in professional fields they are considering for career paths; and give employers the opportunity to guide and evaluate talent.
Seven Criteria for Identifying an Internship:
- The experience must be an extension of the classroom: a learning experience that provides for applying the knowledge gained in the classroom. It must not be simply to advance the operations of the employer or be the work that a regular employee would routinely
- The skills or knowledge learned must be transferable to other employment
- The experience has a defined beginning and end, and a job description with desired qualifications.
- There are clearly defined learning objectives/goals related to the professional goals of the student鈥檚 academic
- There is supervision by a professional with expertise and educational and/or professional background in the field of the
- There is routine feedback by the experienced

Additionally, any for-profit organizations looking to offer an unpaid internship should review the Department of Labor internship guidelines set forth by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

- Provide opportunity for intern to complete learning assignments required by faculty

- Research should include but not limited to gaining an in-depth understanding of the employer鈥檚 mission, products, services, employee and management roles; Comparing and contrasting comparable offerings and practices in the marketplace
- Project production should include but not limited to working on deliverable media content from inception to completion; Social media campaign, event planning, copy for a flyer or press releases, a video or series of videos; Pre-production, production and impact analysis

introduction to our Management Training Program. For a college student, real-world

skills and experience pertaining to every aspect of operating a business. And it鈥檚
learning by doing, not by getting coffee or filing all day. Our college interns take
on the same challenges as our first and second year full-time professionals. It鈥檚
a team-based environment where employees are supportive and fun to work with. Must
be available for a August 20-22nd for a training class.

When you join our Management Internship Program, you鈥檒l acquire highly marketable
skills and experience pertaining to every aspect of running a successful business.
You鈥檒l soon discover that every day is different because it is filled with so many

aspect, however - everyday, you鈥檒l learn more about sales/marketing, customer service,
business management, and administrative skills than you ever thought possible. You
won鈥檛 be a glorified gopher getting coffee or filing all day. Our interns go at the
same energized pace and take on the same challenges and responsibilities as our Management
Trainees. Not only is it a paid internship program, but interns may also be eligible
for performance incentives and employee referral rewards. The business training you鈥檒l
receive will be an amazing jumpstart to your career.

Example 3
Company Information:
Our company produces and manages all food concession stands for the ballpark on operating
days. Interns are paid and expected to work all home games and on non-game days interns
will work to prepare for the next event. This is a paid position of $12 an hour and
the season runs May 鈥 September.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
Work with the Operations and Catering Managers to assist in the management of the
concessions and catering areas. Duties include but are not limited to receiving and
distributing all product orders; monitoring sales and daily sales reports; maintaining
a receiving log; oversee all group areas and staff; scheduling game day staff; ensuring
all food is prepared to both company and safety standards; contacting clients; sales
forecasting; event planning. On off days interns will be responsible for the cleaning,
up keep, and preparation of all areas for the next home stand and to comply with all
health department standards. Candidates should be enrolled in college and prefer business,
sports management, hospitality or related majors. Outgoing, friendly and hardworking
are a must.

A well written position description can make all the difference in the number of applicant resumes you receive. Use the format and examples provided in the guide to ensure you have sufficient information in your description. - Post the Opportunity on Handshake.
Positing your opportunity on Handshake should always be one of your first steps. Every 淫性视频 student has a Handshake account and can access information 24/7 on a desktop computer or the app. It is recommended to post the position for 6 weeks. If the opportunity is still available at that mark you can extend the deadline at that time. - Reach your target audience by searching candidate resumes and reaching out to specific
groups.
Log onto Handshake and search candidate profiles and resumes via the student search feature. This feature will allow you to search candidates by major, graduation year, interest and skills. Work with the Career Education & Development to connect with leaders in student organizations such as the Accounting and Finance Society, Hospitality Society, Event Planners Society, Marketing and Management Association, sororities/fraternities and athletic teams. - Key in on promoting the opportunity during peak times of the academic year.
Keep in mind that students start searching and thinking about internship during specific times of the academic year. This almost always correlates when they are registering for classes for the next semester. We recommend positing position at least 3 months prior to the start of the semester.- Fall Term: September 鈥 December
- Spring Term: January 鈥 May
- Summer Term: May 鈥 August

The Career Education & Development sponsors two career and internships fair every year. This are the largest employer/student events on campus and attract 100鈥檚 of business studies and hospitality and tourism management majors seeking internship positions. These events are hosting typically in October and February. Consider participating in other campus events such as On-Campus Recruitment, Employer-in-Residence and nformation Tabling.
