email address: languages@stockton.edu.
Taking the Language Placement Test

The exam covers vocabulary, grammar and reading. If you are unfamiliar with some material, make your best guess and move on to the next question.
Instructions
- When taking the test, you should not use notes, dictionaries, textbooks or other sources.
If you get help in any way or if you answer questions incorrectly on purpose, you

language proficiency skill.

the test in the weeks preceding the semester when you actually plan to take a course
in your chosen language.
- Once you finish the placement exam, results will be issued immediately. Have your
scores with you at orientation. Having this information ready will speed up your registration
process.
- The test is free. However, taking the exam twice will not update the scores you received
on your first try.

- The exam may take up to 30 minutes to complete.
