Promotes social change and empowers people to enhance their well-being. Social work is based on a set of values and ethical principles, such as respect for human dignity, that are articulated in its Code of Ethics.
Interdisciplinary Minors
Behavioral Neuroscience Minor
The minor provides an opportunity for the in-depth exploration of the field of behavioral neuroscience to better prepare students for future study and careers in the natural and social sciences.
Childhood Studies Minor
Program involves the study of children and adolescents using a multidisciplinary approach. It is an inquiry into childhood and adolescence from the perspectives of the behavioral sciences, the social sciences, and the humanities.
Gerontology Minor

Victimology and Victim Services Minor
Is a multidisciplinary branch of criminology, based on research in criminal justice, psychology, public health, anthropology, history, and economics.
Graduate Programs
Master of Arts in Counseling
Program will prepare individuals to provide evaluations, referrals, and counseling services to help people prevent or remediate personal problems, conflicts, and emotional crises.
Master of Arts in Criminal Justice
Program provides students with the education needed to advance in the practitioner realm of criminal justice, but it also prepares those who want to continue with their education by giving them the research and analytic skills to pursue those goals.
