Faculty - Professional Development
The Embassy of the United States in Mexico, Banco Santander, Fomento Educacional,
A.C., and the Mexican Association for International Education (AMPEI) have joined
forces to encourage binational academic collaboration through the Program for the
Internationalization of Curricula: United States - Mexico (PIC US-MX), promoting the
participation of professors and students from both countries in university courses
using AMPEI- COIL (Collaborative International Online Learning) methodology, in order
to contribute to the academic internationalization of Mexican and American universities.
The program seeks to create multicultural educational environments where faculty from
two institutions work together to develop interdisciplinary modules that emphasize
collaborative online learning, allowing students to have intercultural experiences
that are hosted at their home institutions.
We will hold a special session to discover what is the COIL experience and the steps
to join the program, if you are interested in learning more about this training opportunity
for faculty, please register at:
Please contact oge@stockton.edu if you're intereted in knowing more about COIL projects.

Institutional leaders have long called for an increased focus on efforts to internationalize the broader university curriculum by enriching the academic programs with global components, integrating concurrent curricular design and other modes of experiential learning, and leveraging cross-cultural collaboration and interdisciplinary team-teaching. These efforts, though, have largely operated in the shadow of traditional student and faculty mobility. While the COVID-19 pandemic has caused large-scale devastation to the 铿乪ld of global education, it has also offered senior international officers (SIOs) and their institutions the opportunity to explore new and innovative curricular modalities with faculty and staff that serve as an enhancement to an institution鈥檚 traditional mobility-focused efforts and that contribute to an institution鈥檚 larger internationalization efforts.
If you're interested in participating, please fill out the registration, found . Under 鈥淎ttendee Type鈥, please chose Goucher Community Member and this will bypass the payment.
is excited to present two FREE workshops on 鈥Cultures and Languages in and beyond the Time of COVID鈥 on Friday, May 14, 2021 (1-3pm EDT) and Tuesday, May 18, 2021 (1-3pm EDT).

- Responding to budget cuts to your department or programs
- Repurposing the humanities for greater relevance and innovation
- Overcoming barriers to interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary collaborations
- Engaging international students in classrooms
- Reimagining and sustaining study abroad programs
- Promoting social justice pedagogy in international programs
- Rethinking the pedagogical uses of social media
- Applying CLAC principles to hybrid classrooms, virtual exchange, and other online technologies
The workshops are designed to appeal to both faculty and administrators and to those who are familiar with CLAC as well as to those who would like to learn more about CLAC. These workshops are supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation funded Central New York Humanities Corridor. For an updated list of member institutions .
