Alumni Highlight - Dr. Frank P. Saunders Jr.
Dr. Frank P. Saunders Jr. is an accomplished scholar and educator specializing in Chinese philosophy. After earning his BA in Philosophy with Honors from The Richard ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ College of New Jersey in 2013, he pursued graduate studies at the University of Hong Kong, obtaining his MPhil in 2015 and PhD in 2019. Dr. Saunders has held teaching positions at prestigious institutions across Asia, including Yonsei University in Korea and his current role as Assistant Professor at Hong Kong Chu Hai College. His research focuses on early Chinese philosophy, particularly ethics, metaphysics, and the Zhuangzi. Dr. Saunders has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals including Philosopher's Imprint, Philosophy Compass, Dao, Philosophy East and West, and Asian Philosophy. He has also contributed to the field through translations, book reviews, and conference presentations. His work has been recognized with multiple grants and awards. Beyond his academic pursuits, maintains diverse interests, including fitness, birdwatching, and photography.
