Janice Joseph, Distinguished Professor of Criminal Justice, was appointed Distinguished Visiting Professor of Criminology in the Department of Criminology at Ariel University in Israel during the 2017 academic year. This is the first international visiting appointment in Criminology at Ariel University.

Demetrios Roubos, assistant director of Information System & Security, was selected as a recipient of Center for Digital Education (CDE)鈥檚 2017 Top 30 Technologists, Transformers and Trailblazers.

Christina T. Cavaliere, assistant professor of Hospitality and Tourism Management Studies, worked abroad in Europe, sharing her knowledge of critical thinking for sustainability and bio-cultural conservation. Cavaliere presented various academic peer-reviewed papers in Spain, the Netherlands and Turkish North Cyprus.

Arleen Gonzalez, associate professor of Criminal Justice, won the Best Presentation Award from the Business and Applied Sciences Academy of North America (BAASANA) 2017 International Conference, where she competed against nearly 50 other speakers.

Mariana Smith, assistant professor of Art, opened her exhibit, 鈥淢etamorphosis: The Human Stories,鈥 at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, in Germany; she also hosted several lectures and workshops.

Wendel White, Distinguished Professor of Art, lectured at the Arts Council of Princeton on Nov. 9, and was honored as the Anne Reeves Artist-in-Residence.

Oliver Cooke, associate professor of Economics, was selected as one of two visiting scholars for the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia Community Development Studies & Education Department鈥檚 inaugural Regional Visiting Scholars Program for 2018.

Audrey Wolfson Latourette, Distinguished Professor of Business Law, authored an article, 鈥淪ex Discrimination in the Legal Profession: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives,鈥 which has been cited about 40 times by a broad variety of law reviews and historical reviews.

Kristin Jacobson, professor of American Literature, taught at Aristotle University through a grant from the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program.

Nicole Milan-Tyner, associate director of the Career Center, received the 2018 Excellence in Diversity Award for Scholarship by the Rowan University Senate Diversity Committee.

Deborah Figart, Distinguished Professor of Economics, was chosen to join a select group of experts as part of the Faculty of Advisors of Public Banking Associates (PBA), a national collegium of economists, bankers and public policy experts providing research and consulting to government officials and agencies considering creation of publicly-owned banks. Figart published "Exploring a Public Bank for New Jersey: Economic Impact and Implementation Issues" in April 2018  in conjunction with the William J. Hughes Center for Public Policy.
