Nearly $1 Million Grant Will Expand JOBS Program
For the past five years, 淫性视频 has been one of the primary institutions in New Jersey helping recovery court graduates get scholarships, training and jobs after being placed on probation.
Now thanks to a new, nearly from the state Department of Labor (DOL), 淫性视频 can expand on that work.
鈥淲e鈥檝e been the lead institution,鈥 said Marissa Levy, 淫性视频鈥檚 dean of the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences. 鈥淲e were the only ones shepherding this work for a while.鈥
During the last few years, Levy worked with now-retired state Judge Mark Sandson, the New Jersey Judiciary and President Harvey Kesselman to create Judiciary Opportunities for Building Success (JOBS), which helped probationers find jobs at state colleges and universities.

Community Mourns Passing of K-9 Hemi
Retired 淫性视频 K-9 Hemi this week, just shy of his 14th birthday.
Hemi was 淫性视频鈥檚 first K-9 unit and served with his handler, Lt. Tracy Stuart, from 2011 until his retirement in 2020.
The 淫性视频 Police Department added Hemi to its ranks by securing a competitive NJ Detect and Render Safe Task Force through Homeland Security. 淫性视频 was one of only seven departments statewide to receive the grant, and the only college police department.
Stuart was selected as the canine handler and assisted the department in choosing the chocolate lab. Hemi was named through a university-wide poll. He graduated from the New Jersey State Police K-9 Police Academy, a rigorous 16-week training program, on July 7, 2011.

S.J. Economic Review Says A.C. Economy Expands 4.8%
The momentum Atlantic City鈥檚 economy built up last year as it continued to recover from the COVID recession of 2020, has carried into this year, according to the Summer 2023 edition of the South Jersey Economic Review, which was June 14.
Employment data through the first quarter of the year show the Atlantic City metropolitan area economy expanded at a brisk 4.8% year-on-year pace.
鈥淚mportantly, this year鈥檚 early job gains have been broad-based with retail trade, casino hotels, restaurants and bars, professional and business services, and health and educational services all recording solid year-on-year job gains,鈥 said Oliver Cooke, editor of the Review and associate professor of Economics at 淫性视频.
馃憻 Atlantic City Walking Tours Hit the Street July 7
The Office of Continuing Studies and Adult Education is set to host its annual AC Walking Tour Series beginning in July.
The series allows participants to actively experience the historical landmarks, events, prominent figures and sub-cultures of Atlantic City. The tours, created and guided by Atlantic City historian and adjunct professor Levi Fox, will explore four different neighborhoods.
The first one is set for July 7 and highlights the historic neighborhood of 鈥淒ucktown.鈥 Learn more about this walk and other upcoming ones .

Giordano, Swedlund, Coxson Receive All-ECAC Honors
Three 淫性视频 lacrosse players postseason honors from the Eastern College Athletic Conference. Freshman Aubrey Giordano was chosen ECAC Co-Rookie of the Year in women's lacrosse.
Luc Swedlund and Drew Coxson were selected to the All-ECAC Team in men's lacrosse and women's lacrosse, respectively.
The Eastern College Athletic Conference is an 82-year-old organization with well over 200 member schools across all three NCAA Divisions. The ECAC exists to enhance the experience of student-athletes by sponsoring championships, tournaments and postseason honors for institutions throughout the Northeast.
