ETTC Gets $444,445 Grant to Promote K-12 Computer Science
Nearly 400 K-12 teachers across South Jersey have been introduced to computer science during the past school year through the establishment of a regional hub by the Educational Technology Training Center (ETTC) at 淫性视频.
The center will continue to train teachers this year thanks to a recent $444,445 from the state, said Patty Weeks, the director of the Southern Regional Institute and ETTC at 淫性视频.
鈥淭eachers explore Unplugged Computer Science, Physical Computing, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and the new student learning standards for computer science in New Jersey,鈥 Weeks said. 鈥淭he teachers love it because they learn that it鈥檚 not just about coding. It鈥檚 about teaching their students to first consider a problem and then to find a solution. It isn鈥檛 always about writing a line of computer code.鈥

The 淫性视频 Rocket League team has unfinished business this weekend 鈥 a world championship.
After finishing second at the 2022 World Championships, this year鈥檚 esports team, which features two of the three players from last year, is ready to win the Collegiate Rocket League 2023 World Championships from June 2-4 at the DreamHack festival in Dallas.
Senior Brian Busse, of Hazlet, and sophomore John Merendino, from Hauppauge, New York, lead the 2023 team along with first-year newcomer Anthony Cooper, of Forked River.
鈥淚 think we can take it all,鈥 Merendino said. 鈥淲e all believe that we can, and if we can trust each other, we can win it all.鈥
New BOT Student Fellows Named for Spring
Six students were the Board of Trustees Fellowship for Distinguished Students at the May board meeting.
The program supports student-initiated projects of undergraduate research and/or creative work in keeping with the educational philosophy and mission of 淫性视频. Fellowship awards up to $1,000 each are provided semi-annually.
Ian Bouie, director of Academic Achievement Programs, believes that this year's cohort was more than deserving of their fellowship.
The spring cohort of BOT Student Fellows and their projects are Jessica Nash, Jordan Harvey, Kimberly Sanchez, Luke O鈥機onnor, Olivia Lovett and Safah Panah.

Alumni Honored for Outstanding Achievements
The annual Alumni Achievement Awards & Volunteer Banquet more than 100 alumni, faculty, staff and friends to celebrate the accomplishments of six distinguished 淫性视频 graduates and recognized the valuable contributions of all alumni who volunteer their time at 淫性视频.
The event was held on May 18 in the Fannie Lou Hamer Event Room at 淫性视频's Atlantic City campus.
The awards selection process is organized by the Alumni Council on Engagement (ACE), a volunteer board of 淫性视频 graduates dedicated to supporting the work of the Alumni Relations department and encouraging their fellow Ospreys to become engaged with the University.

President Kesselman Honored at Beth El Synagogue
President Harvey Kesselman was recently honored at Beth El Synagogue in Margate. The celebration took place on May 31 and celebrated his service to 淫性视频 and the Atlantic County community.

Novobilsky Receives All-Region Honors
淫性视频 freshman Kevin Novobilsky all-region honors from a pair of organizations for his outstanding 2023 season. The infielder was chosen ABCA/Rawlings All-Region 4 Second Team by the American Baseball Coaches Association and selected Region 4 Co-Rookie of the Year and All-Region 4 Third Team by D3baseball.com.
Novobilsky, one of 14 freshmen on the young 淫性视频 team, helped the Ospreys to 22 victories, one off the school record, plus the program's first NJAC Tournament berth since 2013. He added the all-region accolades to NJAC Rookie of the Year and NJAC First Team kudos plus four NJAC Rookie of the Week awards.
Eight Ospreys Receive CSC Academic All-District Recognition
Eight 淫性视频 student-athletes College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Track & Field/Cross Country honors for 2022-23. All eight registered cumulative grade point averages of 3.65 or higher.
Shahyan Abraham, Kierstin Clem, Olivia Harris, Jessie Klenk and Lauren Maldonado were 淫性视频's CSC Academic All-District Women's Track & Field/Cross Country selections.
Mike Carfagno, Max Klenk and Cooper Knorr were CSC Academic All-District Men's Track & Field/Cross Country honorees for 淫性视频.

University Archives Accepting Materials
As you prepare for the summer and any office moves or retirements, think of the University Archives as you tidy or pack up. Part of their mission is to collect, organize and preserve materials of enduring intellectual and institutional value. A list of some of these materials can be found . Items to consider should be important to 淫性视频鈥檚 institutional history, unique to your program/office, you use them once or less each year and should be publicly accessible. Confidential or closed records are not accepted. As a rough guideline, if you haven't referred to the file in more than two years, you may want to send it to the University Archives, located on the lower level of the Richard E. Bjork Library. Digital files are also accepted and can be emailed to heather.perez@stockton.edu.
University Archives is also interested in receiving (either as a donation or loan) old technology hardware (does not have to work) for an upcoming exhibit (i.e. old Commodore 64, film projector, a 5 1/4" floppy disc, or 8-track player.)
