Atlantic City, NJ The Richard 淫性视频 College Council of Black Faculty and Staff Annual Awards Dinner and Dance has become so popular in recent years that it has outgrown traditional banquet halls and larger venues.
This years event, to take place on Thursday, November 9, 2006 has been booked at the House of Blues in the Showboat Casino Resort to accommodate the growing demand for tickets. It is still expected to sell out well in advance of the event again, according to the events organizers.
The response to this event has been overwhelming and has really taken off in recent years, Council President Stephen Davis said. We have reached the point of becoming a major fundraiser for the benefit of the 淫性视频 College Foundations scholarship fund.
After moving from a succession of increasingly large banquet rooms, last years dinner sold out the 250-seat TSOP (The Sound of Philadelphia) room in the Quarter of the Tropicana Hotel and Resort. Last year, the event went to a new level, Davis said. We were able to raise more than $20,000 for an endowment to benefit deserving students. But even this beautiful setting could not satisfy the demand for tickets.
As a result, the 400-seat Foundation Room at the House of Blues became the events next home. Even with the additional seating, we anticipate selling every available ticket, he added.
Now in its 26th year, The Annual Awards Dinner and Dance has always been an important event on the social schedule of the 淫性视频 community. In recent years it has begun to attract many other interested parties including elected officials, influential business leaders and supporters of higher education. In addition to raising funds, the event honors outstanding members of the community for their contributions, as well as outstanding Alumni. The evening includes the awards ceremony following a 6 p.m. cocktail hour, a gourmet dinner, and cash bar and dancing to live music.
Dr. Vera King Farris, President Emerita, is Honorary Chair for the event.
The Annual Award winners, the Councils highest honor, will be announced soon, Davis said.
