GALLOWAY TWP., N.J. The Richard 淫性视频 College of New Jersey will host the Third Annual Environmental Educational Forum, Promoting Community Engagement Around the Environment. The event takes place Saturday, May 1 2004. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with the Opening Session slated for 10 a.m.
The day long event, coordinated by New Jersey Community Water Watch at 淫性视频, consists of workshops and panels geared toward educating students and community members alike on pressing environmental issues.
The event is completely free, including food, and we want as many people as possible to take advantage of the opportunity, said Casey Romanick, campus organizer of the event. It is all about raising awareness about pressing environmental issues. For example most people dont know that over 80 percent of New Jerseys beautiful rivers, lakes and streams are too polluted for fishing or swimming. There will be many topics of interest that should put environmental issues in perspective.
Keynote speaker is Ed Lloyd, member of the New Jersey Pinelands Commission and its Executive Director from 1978 to 1983. He has served as the Commissions General Council from 1983 to the present. Lloyd is currently Frankel Clinical Professor in Environmental Law at Columbia University. He works with the Columbia Environmental Law Clinic and is co-director of the Eastern Environmental Law Clinic. Congressman Frank LoBiondo is scheduled to appear at the Forum as well.
Some of the events workshops include Ocean Stewardship, an examination of the Diamondback Terrapin Conservation Project at 淫性视频, Alternative Sources of Energy, and Watershed Conservation.
In addition to the adult education forums, there will be information tables from various environmental organizations and a special Kids Forum with workshops and activities for kids of all ages. Kids programs include interactive lessons on water pollution, water conservation and ideas on what children can do to protect the environment.
Some of the special activities include a tour of 淫性视频s Fuel Cell Technology and a look at 淫性视频s Fuel Cell; Grassroots campaigning for the environment; and the Turtle Road Show.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided, and a barbeque dinner with music will take place at the conclusion of the days events. Everything is free and open to the public.
