Galloway Twp., NJ The Richard 淫性视频 College of New Jersey unveiled its campus-wide 2005 Facilities Master Plan at a special meeting of the Board of Trustees today.
The plan, which involved input from faculty, administration, student body, and representatives of the local community, addresses the institutions space shortage while positioning it for future growth and further expansion.
This plan, though conceptual and subject to change, is an excellent document for planning purposes as we look forward to keeping 淫性视频 in a leadership position nationally among public Liberal Arts Colleges, President Herman J. Saatkamp said. The plan deals with our most pressing need for classrooms, student affairs and administrative space, and does so in a fiscally responsible way.
The master plan focuses development for the College adjacent to a Campus Green and a College Center, a visual and geographic centerpiece for the College.
Some of the design features mirror 淫性视频s original linear pattern of the buildings laid out from the Arts and Sciences Building and Alton Auditorium (formerly A-Wing) to N-Wing. Other design schemes introduce a new axis extending the entrance to College Drive. This perpendicular axis continues the development of the West Quad (begun with the 1999 construction of the Health Sciences Building) and allows for the Campus Green, an attractive front entrance to the Sports Center and a more welcoming traditional entrance sequence and first impression to the visitor.
The Campus Master Plan is to be developed in two zones, allowing for greater flexibility and to minimize disruptions and the look of a work in progress. Zone 1 is located closest to the existing buildings and Zone 2 is the perpendicular axis extending out from the West Quad toward College Drive.
A comprehensive project list will be developed along with all the proposed costs and the approximate timeline for completion, as the final component of the Master Plan.
Current conceptual plans for Zone 1 construction include:
The F-wing Over-build: (29,000 gross sq. ft. of academic space, work to begin soon)
Student Center: (150,000 gross sq. ft. which also includes academic space
Addition to Sports Center: (10,000 gross sq. ft.)
Parking Garage I for the West Quad area for 700 cars
West Boulevard: upgrade of the entrance to campus with improvements to College Drive including turning lanes, shoulders through campus to a circle into the garage. Upgrade will include Louisville Ave. which will be used as a second entrance/exit.
New signage for the Campus
Lakeside Building: 75,000 five-story academic and academic support building with views of Lake Fred and the campus
West Quad Academic Buildings: 75,000 gross sq. ft. to complete the West Quadrangle
Art Gallery: 2,000 gross sq. ft. Originally proposed as a wing of the Arts and Science building, the location is being reconsidered as the center of activity shifts more toward the College Center.
Conceptual plans for Zone 2 construction include:
A 150,000 gross sq. ft. Science Center
Parking Garage II: 900 cars off College Drive
East Boulevard and Circle
Academic Facilities and Support: 165,000 gross sq. ft. in several buildings
Sports Center Addition: 30,000 gross sq. ft.
Parking Garage III: 1,350 cars off College Drive
In addition to these building projects, infrastructure upgrades such as telecommunications, radiant electric distribution and emergency power would be added.
This Master Plan, though subject to change, is a starting point as we chart our course for the future of the College, President Saatkamp said. This is an exciting time to be at 淫性视频.
