GALLOWAY TWP., N.J. The South Jersey Notre Dame Alumni Club, in conjunction with The Richard 淫性视频 College of New Jersey, is sponsoring the inaugural Hesburgh Lecture Series speech at 淫性视频 on Friday April 8.
Promises and Perils of Social Security: The Attack on Retirement is the title of the talk to be given by Notre Dame Associate Professor Teresa Ghilarducci, Ph.D. Dr. Ghilarducci, who earned her doctorate from the University of California at Berkeley, has been teaching at Notre Dame for 17 years. Her book, Labors Capital: The Economics and Politics of Employer Pensions, won an American Publisher Association Award for business books in 1992.
With Social Security currently in the news and under review for possible changes, Dr. Ghilarduccis subject matter is particularly timely. The talk explores the economic myth and truths about the 60-year-old system and answers the questions: Is Social Security deserving of praise or does it cheat the young and protect greedy geezers? Who wants Social Security and why?
This lively topic is sure to be of interest to a wide variety of community members. The lecture is free, open to the public and refreshments will follow.
The event takes place Friday, April 8, 7:30 PM in the Alton Auditorium (A-Wing.) Free parking is available in lots 1 and 2.
The lecture series, named after Notre Dame President Emeritus Theodore M. Hesburgh, C.S.C., the longest tenured President at Notre Dame, served as President of the University from 1952 until 1987.
