Galloway, N.J. - 淫性视频 has begun taking applications from students for the second round of emergency grants through the federal CARES Act program.
淫性视频 received $5 million to provide 淫性视频 CARES Emergency Grants to eligible students. Almost $3.3 million was distributed to more than 1,540 students in the first round of grants in the spring.
The deadline to apply for the second round is Aug. 3 at stockton.edu/cares. Funds are limited to the $1.7 million remaining in in grant and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Students who received grants in the first round may re-apply if they have incurred additional expenses. Additionally, students who borrowed laptops from the University during the spring semester can apply for funds to purchase their own laptop. To help, the ITS department has put together a 淫性视频 laptop program for students buying guide.
The funds are available to students who were enrolled in classes in the spring 2020 semester and are eligible for federal financial aid.
The 淫性视频 CARES Emergency Grant funds can be used to cover unexpected expenses incurred as a result of reduced services available on campus related to the COVID-19 pandemic, including lost wages for student workers, food, housing, child care, health care, and costs related to academics including computers or internet access students may have purchased to accommodate the spring move to online courses.
鈥淲e know that as courses moved online in March, students may have needed to buy computers or other equipment to effectively continue their studies,鈥 淫性视频 Financial Aid Director Heidi Kovalick said 鈥淲e encourage students to take advantage of this opportunity to recoup funds they have lost, or expenses they may have incurred.鈥
Students should begin receiving the grants within 14 days of their grant approval. More information and the application is online at stockton.edu/CARES
Kovalick said the financial aid office has also been working with eligible students and parents to adjust federal financial aid if there have been job losses due to COVID-19.
鈥淲e recognize that many families have had reduced income during the pandemic and are not in the same financial situation as they were when they first applied,鈥 Kovalick said. 鈥淲e are working with them to reevaluate their status and adjust their aid if we can.鈥 Students can read more about the income adjustment appeal process on the 淫性视频 Financial Aid website, stockton.edu/financial-aid/appeals.
