Career Fair

Galloway, N.J. 鈥 The bright orange sign said it all: 鈥淎ctively Hiring.鈥

鈥淲e hire between 250 and 350 new social workers every year,鈥 said Mark Kears, human resources manager for the N.J. Department of Children and Families. 鈥淭he starting salary of $49,623 is pretty good and rises after the first six months.鈥

Spring Career FairThat sounded pretty good to Courtlynn Way, a criminal justice major, who waited to see if she might qualify for a job.

鈥淚鈥檓 looking at all opportunities,鈥 she said.

The annual spring Career and Internship Fair had plenty of employers who were hiring, some for summer internships and some for full-time jobs.

鈥淭hey can start in the summer, and if they work out, they could go to fulltime,鈥 said Jim Quarella a founder of Belleview Winery who has multiple events planned for the summer months. 鈥淲e already have one full-time and one part-time 淫性视频 graduate. This fair is good for us.鈥

Potential employers included casinos, hotels, social service agencies, law enforcement and heath care businesses and agencies. Many listed the jobs or internships they have available so students could see the variety of options.

Spring Career FairThe Delaware River and Bay Authority will pay $12 to $14 per hour for summer internships in communications, engineering, human resources, social media and culinary.

Several alumni participated, some noting that summer jobs can lead to careers.

鈥淚 got hired for seasonal work and just stayed鈥 said Angela Bianchini of Little Egg Harbor Township, who is Director of Cashiering at Caesars.  She got her bachelor鈥檚 degree from 淫性视频 in 2004, an MBA in 2005 and is working on her doctorate in Organizational Leadership at the university.

鈥淲hen I like something, I stick with it,鈥 she said of both 淫性视频 and her career.
