A new form of trolling in which a participant uses Zoom鈥檚 screensharing feature to interrupt and disrupt meetings and classes.

How to Prevent Zoombombing 

Set a Meeting Password

  • Require a Password When Scheduling New Meetings
  • Require a Password for Instant Meetings
  • Remove Participants From Class

If you're using Zoom within Blackboard:

  • Set Password and Enable Waiting Room for a Zoom Meeting

Locking a Meeting

  • Lock a Meeting

Prevent Screensharing

  • Zoom Screen Share Settings (Set up a user profile for all meetings.)
  • Enable Screen Share for Participants (after meeting has started.)

Set up a Waiting Room

  • Enable a Waiting Room for a Zoom Meeting
  • Waiting Room: Add or Remove Participants

Other Protective Measures

  • Disable 鈥淔ile Transfer鈥
  • Disable Chat in a Zoom Meeting
  • Prevent Unauthorized Access
