INSIGHT Into Diversity鈥檚 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award

The INSIGHT Into Diversity HEED Award, open to all colleges and universities across the United States and Canada, measures an institution鈥檚 level of achievement and intensity of commitment to broadening diversity and inclusion on campus through initiatives, programs and outreach; student recruitment, retention and completion; and hiring practices for faculty and staff.

Applications are comprehensive, covering all aspects of campus diversity and inclusion. One of the goals of the application process is to help institutions of higher education assess their diversity efforts in order to build on their success and improve where necessary. 

 


The National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE)鈥檚 Institutional Excellence Award

The Institutional Excellence Award recognizes the results of institutional leadership transformation. This award will be given to an institutional member that has demonstrated measurable progress in promoting and sustaining innovative diversity, equity and inclusion efforts within their campus community. These efforts may involve but are not limited to, institutional leadership, curricular reform, institutional transformation, professional development, assessment policies and practices, accountability measures, and outreach efforts. 

 

Galloway, N.J. 鈥 淫性视频 has received the 2018 Institutional Excellence Award from The National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE).

Chief Officer for Institutional Diversity and Equity Valerie Hayes accepted the award on behalf of the university at the NADOHE conference in Washington, D.C., in March.

The award was one of four presented in different categories.

NADOHE President, Archie W. Ervin said: "We are delighted to recognize this year's Inclusive Excellence Award recipients and their institutions for their stellar accomplishments with moving the needle toward inclusive excellence practices within American higher education."

American Association for Access Equity and Diversity (AAAED)鈥檚 Cesar Estrada Chavez Award

The award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated leadership in support of workers' rights and humanitarian issues.

Galloway, N.J. 鈥 淫性视频 President Harvey Kesselman will receive the Cesar Estrada Chavez Award from the American Association for Access, Equity and Diversity (AAAED), the organization of equal opportunity, diversity and affirmative action professionals announced today.

The Cesar Estrada Chavez Award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated leadership in support of workers' rights and humanitarian issues.

鈥淚t is an incredible honor to be recognized with the Cesar Estrada Chavez Award by the American Association for Access, Equity and Diversity for my leadership,鈥 said President Kesselman. 鈥溡允悠 is the true champion for its commitments to humanitarian issues and working to overcome economic inequality, with projects on the regional, national and international levels.鈥

NOTE: Harvey Kesselman retired in July 2023 and is now President Emeritus. Dr. Joe Bertolino is the current President of 淫性视频.  

2016 INSIGHT Into Diversity Giving Back Award

The INSIGHT Into Diversity Giving Back Award honors college presidents and chancellors who go above and beyond their everyday duties to give back to their institutions and communities. 

Galloway, NJ 鈥 淫性视频 President Harvey Kesselman today received 2016 Giving Back Award from INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine, the largest and oldest diversity and inclusion publication in higher education. 

The Giving Back Award honors presidents and chancellors of colleges and universities who go above and beyond their everyday leadership duties and 鈥済ive back鈥 to their campuses and communities. Kesselman will be featured, along with 26 other recipients nationwide, in the April 2016 Leadership Support and Giving Back issue of the magazine.  

Giving Back Award recipients were nominated by a colleague and selected by INSIGHT Into Diversity based on their outstanding demonstration of social responsibility, a commitment to charitable services, and involvement with students, faculty, and staff to serve underrepresented populations. Each honoree is recognized for his or her passion, dedication, and philanthropic achievements.

鈥淚 am humbled to be recognized by INSIGHT Into Diversity with the Giving Back Award,鈥 said Kesselman. 鈥溡允悠 is committed to diversity and inclusion, and I am proud to do my part by promoting scholarships, mentoring, academic programs, cultural events and global and community partnerships that build and support a diverse 淫性视频 community.
