The Passing of Professor Emeritus Dr. Joseph Walsh

 

Dear Members of the ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ Community,

It is with sadness that I inform you of the passing of Dr. Joseph Walsh, Professor Emeritus of Philosophy and Religion, on October 10, 2021.  For those of you who never met Joe, the attached obituary provides information on his life and work. 

Joe was an extraordinary colleague who was deeply committed to addressing social justice issues.  He and Dr. Pat Reid-Merritt were the two individuals at ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ who led the efforts to name the Atlantic City campus event room the Fannie Lou Hamer Event Room.

Joe always was willing to share his thoughts to those who needed to hear what he had to offer.  He was an institutional leader who made a difference in the life of ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ.  He was a friend who will be sorely missed.
