Protection of Minors

淫性视频 serves more than 6,000 minors annually. University students, staff, and faculty interact with these indiviudals in a variety of ways. In an effort to ensure that all minors receive an enriching, educational, and safe experience, the university has developed a policy and procedure for the protection of minors. This website was designed to provide you with all necessary information and resources for you to further understand your role and responsibility in the protection of minors on campus and what steps must be taken, if any, for your program or event to occur.

University Procedure

If you manage, participate in, or oversee programs or activities involving minors, please review the University's Procedure.

Program Registration and Online Training

All programs and activities involving minors at 淫性视频 must be registered with the University.

External Programs Operating on Universty Campus or Instructional Sites

Non-University organizations that wish to operate programs or activities involving minors at Stockoton must ensure their programs comply with the University's Procedure for the Protection of Minors. All contracts for the use of University facilities by outside parties for programs involving minors must reference and provide a link to this policy.

NOTIFICATION METHODS

The New Jersey Department of Children and Families defines abuse and neglect as the following:

  • Abuse is the physical, sexual or emotional harm or risk of harm to a child under the age of 18 caused by a parent or other person who acts as a caregiver for the child.
  • Neglect occurs when a parent or caregiver fails to provide proper supervision for a child or adequate food, clothing, shelter, education or medical care although financially able or assisted to do so.

What should you do if you suspect abuse or neglect?

  1. Anyone who suspects that a minor has been subject to abuse or neglect must first immediately notify the 淫性视频 Police Department at 609-652-4390.
  2. Then call the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency's toll-free hotline 1-877-NJABUSE (1-877-652-2873)

Make a Report:

  • If you know or suspect that a minor is suffering abuse or neglect.
  • Regardless of who the suspected culprit may be - a family member, teacher, religious leader, student, or coach, well-respected or not.
  • Regardless of where the abuse or neglect may be occurring, for example in the home, at 淫性视频, or elsewhere.

Before making a report, you do not need to conduct your own investigation or be certain that mistreatment has occurred.

Anyone who makes a report in good faith receives legal protection from retaliation. So pick up the phone. It's your legal duty, and it's the right thing to do.
